Setting up Microsoft Authenticator on your device

Download Microsoft Authenticator from your app store.

From a college machine, navigate to: https://aka.ms/mfasetup

log in (If asked) with your full email address. Then select 'Set up Authenticator app' which will show you a QR code.

Open Microsoft Authenticator on your device then 'add account'. select 'work or school account' and then scan the QR code provided on screen.

From there, every time you need to authenticate you will receive a pop-up to 'approve or Deny'

As part of the process you will also be given an option to add a mobile number. This is recommended as an alternate way of authenticating for if you have no wifi or change your phone.
